We are interested in many aspects of developmental, cellular and molecular biology. Correctly, we focus on studying the function of signaling regulators involved in cell growth regulation, cancer biology and adipogenesis. One of the major interests in the laboratory is to decipher cellular and molecular mechanisms by which Chibby, the antagonist of β-catenin, modulates signal transduction pathways, particularly, the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, thereby effects expression of downstream target genes and influences cellular events. Our exciting projects involve the analysis of intracellular signaling pathways using conditional gene knockout (Cre-LoxP) approach in mice, and are complimented with in vitro cell culture and biochemical analysis.
