* through Stony Brook University
Graduate School's website. Our formal Program name is The Graduate Training Program in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology, but we are often referred to as just
Pharmacology!
Students with a wide variety of undergraduate majors have had very successful graduate careers in this Program. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the Program, coursework in Physical Chemistry and/or Physiology is strongly recommended. Organic chemistry is a prerequisite for admission. A typical applicant will also have taken upper-level undergraduate courses in Biochemistry and at least one of the following: Cell Biology, Genetics or Neurobiology. Members of minority groups and prospective applicants with post-baccalaureate laboratory-based research experience are encouraged to apply.
