Van der Kloot Awards

Two Graduate Student Awards are presented annually in recognition of the significant contributions of Professor William Van der Kloot to the development of the Department of Pharmacological Sciences at Stony Brook. These awards consist of $500 each, presented at the Graduate Program's annual Fall Retreat.

The Van der Kloot Research Award. The Research Award is presented to a currently registered graduate student in good academic standing in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology Program in recognition of high standards of research scholarship, as evidenced by publication or acceptance for publication of a first-author research article in the broad area of research conducted within the program.

The Van der Kloot Graduate Student Teaching Award is presented annually to the student judged to have made the most significant teaching contributions to the undergraduate major in Pharmacology. Nominations for both awards will be judged by the Steering Committee of the Graduate Program.
