All students are admitted as fully funded Research Assistants with an annual stipend of $26,500 (2009-2010), and group health insurance provided as a fringe benefit. Furthermore, all students receive a full tuition scholarship. During the first two years, students are supported by departmental funds derived from a training grant from the National Institutes of Health and from University research assistantships. Following the second year, students are supported by research grants from individual laboratories. Students are encouraged to apply for fellowships from the Graduate Council of SUNY-Stony Brook, the National Science Foundation, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association (PhRMA) or other private foundations.
Cost of Study:
As explained above, all graduate students receive full financial support.
