Program Objective:

The primary goal of this program is to excite and encourage promising MD/PHD students to consider an academic career in gastroenterology. The one-day program will offer full travel grants to 20 students to attend a series of lectures and interactive discussions that will emphasize the broad spectrum of GI research opportunities and demonstrate that GI can cultivate their particular areas of research interests, e.g., oncology, infectious diseases, immunology, nutrition, geriatrics, gender impact, etc. The program will provide several opportunities for participants to network with junior and senior GI faculty members.
