Opportunities!
As
many of you know, APSA (the American Physician-Scientists Association)
is a student-run organization that has its annual meeting in conjunction
with the ASCI and AAP each year. This has turned out to be a great forum
for MD-PhD trainees to present their work and participate in many high
quality lectures and seminars put on by the three associations. APSA
is just announcing the first call for abstracts as detailed below. I
will be distributing this to trainees at the University of Rochester
and hope that you will do the same at your institution.
APSA MEMBERSHIP:
Stony Brook MD/PhD students receive complimentary membership in the
American Physician Scientists Association(APSA) : http://www.physicianscientists.org/
due to an institutional membership. Participation in APSA allows our
students to connect nationally and to interact with other physician-scientist
trainees across the country.
With best regards,
M. Kerry O'Banion,
MD, PhD
Professor of Neurobiology & Anatomy
Director, MSTP
