Congratulations to Yasharah Raza on receiving awards totaling $45,000

Congratulations to Yasharah Raza, a doctoral candidate in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology in the Renaissance School of Medicine’s Department of Pharmacological Sciences, on being awarded three prestigious fellowships and awards totaling $45,000 supporting her research on Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)! Raza was awarded a $25,000 Dissertation Fellowship from the American Association of University Women (AAUW). She was selected for the $10,000 Distinguished Doctoral Research Scholarship from the Association for Women in Science (AWIS), which is for candidates whose dissertation research project is judged likely to make important and original contributions to their field. And she also received a Turner Dissertation Fellowship for $10,000 from Stony Brook University’s Center for Inclusive Education.
