Computing Resources
Pharmacological Sciences has over 250 computer workstations running Windows 10, MacOS X, and Linux. All of these computers are networked together over a 100/1000BaseT switched Ethernet LAN that is connected to the UHMC network, the entire Stony Brook campus, as well as the Internet. The Department provides network disk space via a central SAN based virtualized file server (approx 24TB), automatic backups, and a departmental web site for disseminating information (Drupal based). The Department also has licenses/access to a variety of scientific analysis programs.
