Three students were presented with Van der Kloot Awards during the Symposium. The VdK Award for Research is awarded in recognition of a major scientific achievement to a student who has published a first author paper in the past academic year.

On a calm, beautiful day over the Long Island Sound, the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology Graduate Program hosted its annual Research Symposium at Lombardi's in Port Jefferson. After sharing a nice lunch while soaking in the water views, the day started with a student poster session and faculty talks by Profs. Demple, Chung, van der Velden.
